Villa's partisans claim that their leader has captured Durango City, and is now marching on Torreon with an army of 5000 men. [Durango, a city of over 300,000 people, is the capital of the State of the same name in North-western Mexico. It is connected by rail with Torreon, which lies on the border of the State of Coahuilla, 180 miles to the northwest. Durango is a prosperous State, its principal industries being agriculture, cattle rearing and gold, silver, and iron mining.]
