The conspiracy trial in connection with the plot to poison Mr Lloyd George has ended. Three of the accused were found guilty. Mrs Alice Wheeldon was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment, Alfred Mason, her son-in-law, to seven years, and Winifred Mason, her daughter, to five years. A second daughter, Harriet Wheeldon was acquitted.

[The chief object of the plot wis to kill Mr Lloyd George iind Mr Arthur Henderson by moans of poisoned darts while they were playing golf. The women were suffragettes and Mason was a conscientious objector.]
