BAGDAD IN HANDS OF BRITISH.
ANCIENT CITY FALLS ON SUNDAY. TRIUMPHANT END TO VICTORIOUS ADVANCE. High Commissioner's Cable. LONDON, March 11 (8.5 p.m.). The rumour of the occupation of Bagdad is officially confirmed to-day. Lieutenant-General Maude telegraphs the announcement that the British Forces occupied the city early this morning. No further details have been received.
