* The Mayor has requested citizens to elose their places of business at noon on Saturday, the 17th inst., the occasion of the Red Cross motor carnival. Tenders are required by the Public Works Department for the supply of substation equipment for the Lake Coleridge power scheme. The Assistant Quartermaster-General requires tenders for troopship canteen stores. Vacancies for pupils exist at the Military Training School, 76 Holly Road, Christchurch.
