RED CROSS FAIR.
A KAIAPOI FUNCTION. Mr? Rcay's Fancy Fair in aid of tLw Red Cross was hel«l in the Kaiapoi Public Domain this afternoon. The weather was all that could be desired, and there was a good attendance. A procession of vehicles and bicycles, headed by the l.'Sth Regimental Band, left the Railway station for the Domain early in the afternoon, the band plaving en route. The Mayor (Mr J. H. Blackwell i officially declared the fair open. The following were the stallholders:— Tea stall, Mrs A. l'earce, Misses G. and AI. Favitt, and Mrs L. Wilson; faney stall, Misses A. Ramsay, McCrobie, D. Stanton, E. Thorne, ami Mrs Alexander; sweets stall, Misses L. C. Watts, F. Holland, X. Young, and E. Foster; icecream stall. Miss*-s V. Papprill and M. and F. Meadowcroft; soldiers' stalL Mis-es K. I'arnham, H. J'earce, and I. Richards; flower stall, (Misses B. Wylic, (i. Wylie, Tourell, and Blakeley; produce -tall! Mrs MeLachlan, J Miss H. Mcintosh. Misses G. Mcintosh, Harding, and Mrs Brocklehurst; tradesman's cart, Mrs I'. and 11. Parnham and Miss D. Grey: peanut cart, Misses Fea- , therston and V. Kissling; Gipsy tent, Mrs Stanton. ; The prize list was as follows:—Decorated motor car, Dr Pinfold 1, Miss L. Parnham 2; decorated cart, Mrs King J I, Miss Young 2; decorated tradesman's i cart.
