MURDER AND SUICIDE.
THE WELLINGTON TRAGEDY. Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 11. An inquest was opened to-day in connection with the Cambridge Terrace tragedy. A verdict was returned that Emily Thomas was strangled by Gilbert ' Marshall. The evidence pointed to Marshall having committed suicide, after murdering the woman, by taking ehlorodyne. The coroner decided to d£fer entering up the verdict respecting the man until the analyst had reported on the contents of the stomach.
