BULGARIANS CROSSING THE DANUBE.
SEVERAL FRESH ENTRIES INTO RUMANIA. DEFENDERS RETIRING FROM THE RIVER. A. and N.Z Cable Association and Beuter. (Received December 11, 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, December 10. A Bulgarian communique states: —The Russians and Rumanians are retiring north-eastwards from the left bank of the Danube, between Turtukai and Cernavoda. We crossed the Danube near Turtukai, and captured the town of Oltenitza, which the enemy had previously looted. We also crossed near Silistria. The Russians set fire to the town of Kalarash and the surrounding villages.
