THE TWENTY-FIFTHS
CHRJSTCHURCH GROUPS SHORTAGE. Voluntary recruiting for the 25th Reinforcement, which is to be mobilised about a month hence, will close at 9 p.m. to-day. This morning the shortage in the Christchurch area group's quota for the reinforcement was 72, so the ballot will have to be used to make up the deficiency. From, and including Monday, voluntary enlistments for the 20lh and 27th Reinforcements will be taken.
ENLISTMENTS IN CHRISTCHURCH
Eight registrations for enlistment were received at the Christchurch area group recruiting office yesterday. The men who registered after The Sun went to press are:— Alfred D. Whittle, 139 Salisbury Street, clerk. Arthur 1". Graham, 11 Marlborough Street, l.inwood, painter. Ami three others, who desired that their names he not published. TO-DAY'S LIST. Joseph Walsh, 20 Falsgrave Street, bootmaker. Bernard V. lieeby, 105 Richmond Terrace, New Brighton, dentist's mechanic. David McKcnzie, Queen's, Hotel, shearer. John C. Collie, 252 Hereford Street, coal merchant. William T.'Overend, U Whiteleigh Avenue, Addinfitoii, iron turner. Ami another.
