RIFLE SHOOTING.
CHRIS iZHIVH UME CVJB. The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club held its sixth competition at the Cashmere range this afternoon. A tricky easterly wind blew across the range, making long-range shooting rather difficult. The ranges were 800 yds, 000 yds, and 1000 yds, seven shots at each range. The competition was won by Rifleman G. W. Logan, with a score of 97. The best score from scratch was th..t of Rifleman H. Ward, who registered 92 points. The following were the scores: —-
