ACTION BY THE QUEEK. Australian and N Z. Cable Association. LONDON, December 7. Her Majesty the Queen has resigned her position of patroness of the National Council of Women. She states that her interest is undimin-j ished, but she abstains from inter-1 fcrence in all public matters, and the Council has enlarged its scope, and is considering questions of liquor prohibition and the extension of the franchise.
