A very successful gift afternoon, in aid of the fund was held by Mrs A. Cameron, " Inverlochy," Seargill. About SO guests were present, and 192 articles were given in, the total value of which was £8 10/-. The gifts were:— 40 tins condensed milk, 4 tins jam, 9 tins coffee and milk, 1 tin cocoa and milk, 1 tin salmon. 22 tins pineapple, 8 tins sardines, 10 tins tobacco, 8 tins chocolate, 2 bottles bovril. ;i boxes Lifebuoy soap, 2 packets tooth-paste, 2 tins cocoa, 6 tins ivelcon. 30 tins cigarettes, 4 packets spearmint, 1 box shaving soap, 2 boxes toilet soap, 1 writing pad, 2 bottles calfsfoot jelly, 3 pairs bootlaces, 1 tin health salts, 2 pairs socks, 1 bottle beef extract, 3 tins biscuits, and 7 packets soup.
