The feeling of the conference, while favouring Mr Asquith's leadership, made it perfectly clear that they were prepared to serve any Prime Minister who will vigorously prosecute the war. Subsequently Messrs Arthur Henderson, Ramsay Mac Donald, J. o'Grady, Philip Snowden, and Will Thorne, representing the Council, held a lengthy conference with Mr Lloyd George.
