(Received December 7, 11.50 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, December 6. A German correspondent says that the victory on the Argesu was possible only because the Rumanians had no time to destroy the bridges. The 9th German Army is incessantly attacking the Rumanian rearguard, and marching sti'aight upon the oil fields of the Prahova. If the Valley is reached, the Germans will be on the line of retreat of the 2nd Rumanian Army, which has held up the enemv for two months.
Sofia messages declare that after Bucharest the next task of the Germanic Powers will be the capture of Valona, on the Albanian coast of the Adriatic, of which the Italians are in occupation, and to join hands with Greece. Bulgaria is introducing a Mass Levy Bill on the lines of that just adopted by Germany.
