LATE PERSONALS.

Gunner John Francis Foley, dangerously wounded, is a son of Mr J. Foley, Sherbourne Street, St. Albans. He is '22 years of age. He was born at Rakaia and educated at Duntroou (near Oamaru), and at Taihape. After leaving school he was engegad with his father farming. His relatives have received advice that he is dangerously ill in the Australian Stationary Hospital.

It is evident that Sir Kruest Shackleton will not arrive in Christchureh on Saturday, as was expected. In reply to a communication sent at the instance of the Mayor of Christchurch, asking whether a civic reception would be acceptable to him.
