FINE STOCK OF ARMS ACQUIRED.
TO BALANCE GIFTS TO BULGARIA. Bcutcr's Telegrams. (Received November 24, 12.15 p.m.) ATHENS, November 23. Renter's correspondent states that Admiral du Fournet's demand for the surrender of Avar material included 18 batteries of field artillery, 16 batteries of mountain artillery, 40,000 Mannlicher rifles, and 140 machine guns. Admiral du Fournet contended that this would equalise the war material handed over to the Bulgars and Germans. The Government replied that the Entente had already taken 191 modern guns, while the guns given to the Bulgars and Germans were obsolete. The Government further contends that acquiescence in the Allies' demand would constitute a hostile act towards the Central Powers, and, besides, would prevent Greece from defending herself. .
