SUMNER-REDCLIFFS.
A concert was held in the schoolroom at Redcliffs on Saturday evening, in aid of tlio funds for providing a sweet stall at the Domain Fete in Christehurch. There was an excellent attendance, ami the net result is expected to lie about £7. The first part of the programme consisted . of musical items given by Misses Barr, M. Pender, and Priestly, and Messrs Cloudcsley, Gibbs, and M. Woods. The second part of the programme tool; the form of the old-time nigger minstrel show, in which about 20 performers participated. On Saturday evening, also, a concert was held in the Town Hall, .Sunnier, to augment the funds of the Sunnier Red Cross Committee. Musical items were contributed by Misses Kay and Goodman, Mesdumes Robb and MaeGillivrny, and Messrs Mitchell and McLean. Sweets were also sold by Dot iVrguson and Linsetl Benson, who were dressed as lied Cross nurses, jj is expected that the net proceeds will lie £(!.
