BRICKLAYERS' AWARD.
Prexa A ssocitttion. WELLINGTON, November IS. On the application of the Inspector of Awards in VVanganui, the Arbitration Court has given an interpretation of the bricklayers' award with regard to suburban work. The court ruled that it is permissible for an employer to pay the train fares to and from a suburban job, once each way daily, in lieu of travelling time; also that the payment of GJd per mile, or part of a mile, is payable for the whole distance from the post office, if the work to be performed is. situated two miles or more from the post office.
