A small horse attached to a big dray was left unattended near the Manchester .Street bridge this afternoon, and he decided to create a little diversion. Ho bached the dray into the river, and then proceeded to explore the river bed, testing depths in various parts of the stream with apparent enjoyment of the game. But he ventured too much, and his hind legs sank into the mud. There lie stuck, but, undismayed, he enjoyed a feed of the grass on the bank within his reach. A crowd of people watched the performance, with a very impractical interest. At last, when the horse and dray had been in the river for about an hour, they were extricated by some corporation employees. Except for being exhausted by the final struggles to get out, the horse vtas uninjured, and the dray was damaged but little.
