At the monthly meeting of the Merivale Red Cross Committee held on Tuesday the treasurer reported that the subscriptions for the month equalled those for the previous month. The secretaries of the working units reported that the goods supplied to the central depot comprised 2141 bandages, 4284 swabs and abdominal swabs, 17 flannel shirts, 20 manitails, 63 pairs pyjamas, 32 pairs socks, 3 pairs bed socks, 10 vests, 00 treasure bags, 1)0 face cloths, 50 scarves, 1 bedjacket, 22 toilet cloths, 1 parcel waste, 2 rolls paper, and a quantity of old linen. The collectors were asked by the treasurer to endeavour to obtain more subscribers, as the working units were unable to use up more material than the present moneys would provide.
