Several first offenders were charged before Captain llatchwell and Mr \V. C. Cleary, .l.P.'s, at the Lyttelton Court to-day. One. who did not appear, was lined 10/-, and another was lined 5/., and ordered to pay 10/- fur damage done to a constable's watchchaiu. William Stone was convicted ami discharged, and a prohibition order was issued against him.
