KAIAPOI CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
I The annual meeting of the Kaiapoi St. Andrew's Caledonian Society was ; ' presided over by Mr T. Hoskin. The report and balance-sheet, which I i were adopted, showed that after deI I voting £2O 7/-, from the year's revenue 1 ! from winter socials, to the Belgian, Bed i Cross, and Patriotic Funds the society ' had a credit balance of £2 15/6. The [ membership of the society was 80, of which number 17 were serving with I the Expeditionary Forces. Officers were ejected as follow:—Pre- | aident, Mr B. Dunn; vice-presidents, ; Messrs G. Templeton and W. H. Stark; • directors, Messrs M. Forrest, H. D. | Cooksley, J. W. Stracjian, J. M. Gray, : J. 11. Baird, and Thomas Hoskin; hon- , orary treasurer, Mr J. 11. Williams; j honorary auditor. Mr B. H. Croft; seci retary, Mr J. A. Mealings. Seven new members were elected. Mr A. McDougall, a former presi- | dent of the society, who is leaving Kaii apoi, was made a life member. It was decided that the net proceeds j of the socials held in the coming year I should be devoted to local patriotic I funds.
