PARK PLAYGROUNDS.

FOR THE CHILDREN. SAND PIT AND SWINGS. At yesterday's meeting of, the Domains Board the chairman ( Mr Beswick) suggested that the board provide swings in the gardens for the use of children. An American idea which he would like to see adopted would be the making of a sand pit where the little ones could play. An ideal spot, would be in the hollow at the back of the Tea Kiosk, where the sand would not be blown away by the winds. It was resolved thai Mr Beswick confer with the gardener on the subject and report re the cost at the next meeting.
