NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Waimairi County Council, held on Thursday, December 2nd, 1915, the following Resolution was passed, and will be submitted for CONFIRMATION at a MEETING of the Council to be held ott MONDAY, January 10, 1916, at' the Council Chambers, Papanui, at 1.30 p.m:— In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Ac*, 1913, and Amendments thereto, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:—. SPECIAL ORDER. That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £19,250 authorised to be issued by the Waimairi County Council under the abovementioned Act, for installing electric mains, public lamps, and other works in connection therewith, the County Council hereby makes and levies a SPECIAL RATE of Seven-fortieths of a Penny in the Pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable properties of the Waimairi County Electric Lighting Loan Area, as defined in the "Times," "Press," and "The Sun" of November 6, 1915, and that such rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, arid such rate shall be payable on the 31st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or [until the loan is fully paid off. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at st Special Meeting' of the Waimairi County Council, held on Thursday, the 2nd day of December, 1915, the following Resolution was passed, and will be submitted for CONFIRMATION at a MEETING of the Council to be held on the 10th ddy of JANUARY, 1916, at 1.30 p.m.:— In pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in the Council by the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public Health Act, 1908, and of all and each and every ... other power and authority thereunto, enabling it, the Waimairi County Council, acting on behalf of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waimairi, ordains this Bylaw : ; SHORT TITLE 1. The Short Title of this By-law shall be "The Wairiiairi County By-law No. 7, 1915." Amendment 2, part IV. of the Waimairi County By-law No. 2 is hereby amended by adding the following clauses thereto:— LICENSES, PLUMBERS AND PIPE-LAYERS. No Plumbing Work or Drainage of Buildings is hereafter to be done within that Waimairi County, only-by Licensed ■ Plumbers and Pipe-layers duly licensed under "The Plumbers' Registration Act, 1912." NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Waimairi County Council, held on Wednesday, the 24th day of November, 1915, the following RESOLUTION was Passed, and will be SUBMITTED for CONFIRMATION at a MEETING of the Council to be held on MONDAY, the 10th day of January, 1916, at 1.30 p-m. In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 16 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and the consent of the Ratepayers of the Shirley Loan Rating Area, in the Waimairi County, hereafter described, testified by a Petition, signed by not less than three-fourths of the Ratepayers in the said Shirley Loan Rating Area, the capital values of whose Properties, as appearing in the Valuation Roll of the said County, is collectively greater than the capital value of the Properties of the Ratepayers who did not so consent, the Waimairi County Council hereby RESOLVES by way of a Special Order, as follows : That, for the purpose of Channelling and Asphalting and Grading, the Waimairi County Council hereby authorises the raising of a Loan of £BOO at 5 per centum per annum for a period of 10 years, or until the Loan is fully paid oiF, and declares that the cost of raising the said Loan and the first year's interest _shall be payable out of the money so raised. j SPECIAL RATING AREA. • All that Area of Land situate in the Waimairi County, Blocks XI. and XII., Ghristchureh. Survey District, being part of Rural Sections 231, 557, and 880, commencing at a point being the intersection of the north-east side of Bank's Avenue, with the eastern side of Marshland Road, thence northerly along Marshland Road to the north-west corner of the land included in Certificate of Title Vol. 249, Fol. 31; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned land to the northeast corner therof; thence northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of land included in Certificates of Title Vol. 14, Fol. 26, Vol. 176, Fol. 136, and Vol. 15, Fol. 27, to Horse Shoe Lake Road, thence southerly along Horse Shoe Lake Road and New Brighton Road to a point being the intersection of the west side of New Brighton Road with a line in continuation of the south side of Cresswell Avenue; thence easterly across New Brighton Road and along the south side of Cresswell Avenue to the north-east corner of land included in C.T. Vol. 27, Fol. 59; thence south-easterly and westerly along the north-eastern and southern boundaries of the last-mentioned land and across Bampton's Road to the eastern boundary of land included in C.T.
