BELGIUM FUND.
RESOLUTION- Or CONDOLENCE: The following resolution was/passed at a meeJi»g of the Executive Committee of the Poor of Great Britain, Ireland, and Belgium Relief Fund, held on Thursday:-r' x The Executive Committee of the Poor of Great Britain, Ireland, and.Belgium Belief Fund have heard, with deep sorrow, of the death of their esteemed fellow-member, the late Mr F. H. Pyne, who, since the inception of the movement, has acted as it honorary treasurer, and by whose enthusiasm and respected position in the community its success has been largely due. In recording their own personal loss, they wish respectfully to convey to Mrs Pyne and her family their deepest sympathy." The fund, promoted by the late Mr F. H. Pyne, Mr C. G. Dalgety, and Dr Levinge, and privately subscribed, to provide emergency pocket money for our wounded soldiers in England, has now readied approximately £7OO, of which £650, including £2OO from Wellington, has been remitted Home to Lord Plunket, chairman of executive of the New Zealand Hospital, who has kindly , consented to personally administer it. As it is intended to close the fund at the end of the year, it is hoped that all those who contemplate helping in this way will send in their donations
before that date. The late Mr F. H. Pyne was very interested in this fund, and acted as treasurer, but any sums entrusted to either of. the above-named will be acknowledged and remitted Home with the balance.
