.FOB.- THE WOUNDED. Mr F. W. Thompson will give a demonstration of his leg slings, crutches, and two stretchers, at the Chamber of Commerce Building, Cathedral Square, at 8 o'clock on Saturday. His Worship the Mayor will preside. A cordial invitation to be present is given to all Red Cross workers > and others 1 interested. MEETING, AT. CASHMERE. A Red Cross meeting was held in the church schoolroom, Cashmere, last evening', to form a committee to canvass the district for regular subscriptions to the Red Cross Fund. Mr Guise Brittan presided over a Jail- attendance. Mi- J. A. Flesher, deputy-chairman of the Central Executive, gave an address on the importance of Red Cross work, and answered a number of questions. It/ was decided an attempt' should be made to assist the movement, and a committee was appointed to make all arrangements, Mr J. A. Pannett being elected chairman, and Mr Bricknell secretary, and treasurer.
