The Spreydon Borough Council has agreed to dicuss with the Biccarton Borough Council the suggestion that Fendalton, Spreydon, and Biccarton should combine their interests in reference to fire prevention and approach the Christchurch Fire Board with the object of finding out the cost per annum of the extra plant required for. coping with fires in the combined district. The Mayor (Mr W. \H.'~iWinsor) and Cr E. O'Bourke have been appointed as the Spreydon , delegates to any conference called on the subject.
