CANADIAN WHEAT.
By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright. LONDON, November 29. The Press Bureau says the British Government has not requested Canada to commandeer wheat, and has no information on the subject. (Received December 1, 8.10 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 30. Much of the 20,000,000 bushels of wheat which has been commandeered by the Canadian Government was under contract to New York speculators, who were holding it in the elevators and preventing the new grain from coming in. Many holders, having resold, are chagrined at having to fill their contracts from other supplies.
