LEAD IMPORTS AND EXPORTS. By Cable. — Press Association. — Com/right. (Received August 16, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, August 15. Lead imports totullcd 24,920 tons, the Australian supply being 1059 tons. SHEEPSKINS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. hus received the following cablegram from London:—"Sheepskins: Merino combing id, crossbred combing mostly $d lower; Shorthorn neglected." The following cablegram was received by Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Christchurch, from their x London office, dated August 12, 1915:—"Sheepskins: Sales closed. , Prices are lower by Id for merino combing- skins, gd for clothing, shorn being neglected; fd for crossbred combing, and Jd for lambs, clothing and shorn being neglected; 6600 bales were offered, of which 4100 bales were sold."

Lamb.—Prices are declining, owing to the poor demand, and the market has been affected by an increase in arrivals. Scotch lamb is selling at BJd; Canterbury two's 8 iMfid, heavy-weight four's 7Jd; North Island 8 l-10d for best quality light-weight*, second grade light-weight 6Jd. Beef.—Quotations for chilled beef are nominal—hinds BJd, fores 7gd. Butter.—The market is very Arm, but quiet. Danish is firm, but there is a limited demand at 170/- to 174/-. Siberian is in good demand, finest 132/- to 131/- and up to 136/-. Irish creamery is firm at 154/to 158/-. Australian and Argentine: Nothing offering here. ■. t Cheese.—The market is quiet, but steady. Canadian is quiet; white and coloured 74/to 76/-.
