RANGIORA MARKET.

HEAVY ENTRIES. On account of the races next week, the market at Rangiora to-day was a double one, and this fact no doubt induced particularly heavy entries of both fat and store sheep. There was rather more than double the number of fat sheep as compared with a week ago, and stores also showed a considerable increase. FAT SHEEP. Very marked improvement was noticeable in the quality of fat sheep, some especially prime sheep being offered. The sale was characterised by keen competition, and prices generally were on a par with last sale. Some of the poorly finished lines of lamb's were hardly as high as a week ago, but good class sheep of all descriptions were very much in demand. Values were as under:—
