( The following cablegram has been received by Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Christchurch, from their London office, dated July 21, 1015: Wool sales closed 'firm for best wools, whilst other sorts were irregular. As com- > pared with closing rates of last sales, prices for super good scoured merinos arc 5 per cent, dearer, and irregular for short and faulty sorts. Good shafty greasy merinos are 1"> per cent, dearer, average merinos being 10 per cent, clearer. Faulty wasty are unchanged, and there is no demand for carbonising sorts. Lambs: Good are at par, short faulty are 5 per cent, lower, shabby 7h per cent, lower; scoured* slipe, fine, 7| to. 10 per cent. lower; coarse, 10 to 15 per cent, lower. Wools ex Athcnic, Delphic, Corinthic, Matatua, and Tainui were held over. Of the quantity available, the Home trade took 113,000 bales, Continent 15,000, - America 5000, not offered 59,000, withdrawn 13,200. SKIN SALE. At the Canterbury By-products Company's weekly skin sale at Socfcburn the undermentioned prices were obtained:—Halfbreds (3/7 to 0/i), threc-quarterbreds G/- to 8/11, . crosshreds (i/ti to 8/-, iherlnos 7/2 to 7/6, and lambskins 7/- to 8/-. v CUSTOMS.
