COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS.
SOME OF THE APPOINTEES. [From bur own Parliamentary Reporter.] MONDAY, July 6. So far the new appointments to the Legislative Council have not been announced. The matter is still a Cabinet secret, and just how long it will remain so is purely a matter, for conjecture. Those who may be taken as "morals" for seats in the Council are:—■ Mr William Morgan, Gisborue. Mr E. W. Alison, Auckland. The Hon. J'. Sinclair, Dunedin (reappointed). Mr J. Maegregor, Duned in. Mr R. Moore, Christchurch. Mr T. Mac Gibbon, Gore.
Mr A. T. Maginnity, Nelson. It is also stated by Mr A. Good Authority that Mr 11. F. vou Haast will be found taking part in the business of the .Upper House later on in the session.
