FOX BOARD OF AGRICULTURE. i Prets Association. • i * WELLINGTON,- June 11. The first meeting of the , Board of Agriculture constituted under . the Act passed last session was held to-day. Mr Massey attended, and practically laid down the programme for the board's activities, mentioning noxious weeds, training of young farmers, forestry, carriage .of produce, improvement of permanent pasture, shortage of farm labour, importation of stock, -meat trust, fruit industry, discovery of phosphates, and obtaining,a cheap supply. < The board also passed a motion of regret-at the death of the late Mr D. D. Maefarlane.
