DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
MUCH DAMAGE DONE. Press Association. GISBORNE, June 11. • A fire gutted the offices owned by W. Good and occupied by Richards, land agents, Erthington, lawyer, and Hei and Dawson, lawyers. The premises of Busehe and Parker, land, agents, and Airey, draper, were partially gutted and damaged by water. Good '» jewellery shop and Locket's surgery, above, also suffered from water. The fire occurred in old and inflammable buildings and had a big Hold when discovered, but the brigade made an excellent save. Good's buildings were insured for £IBSO, and the jewellery and stock, which was little damaged, at £l§io. Airey's drapery stock was mostly destroyed, and is valued at £2500.
