LYTTELTON OLD NAVALS ASSOCIATION.
The first meeting of the winter session of the Lyttelton Old Navals Association was held in their new room in Oxford Street, Lyttelton, on Monday night. The accommodation was hardly sufficient for the number who attended. The first part of the programme was taken up in card matches, and the latter part in song and story. At the meeting a suggestion was made to the committee, which meets this week, that arrangements be made to hold a church parade of all old members on Empire Day (Sunday, May 24). Challenges for card matches, also a rowing race, are already being fixed up, and there is likewise a hope that a Morris Tube range will be available in the course of a few days.
