FREEZING INDUSTRY.
Press Association. MAKTON, May 5. A largely attended meeting of farbers was held to-day to consider the advisability of erecting freezing works near Marton. It was resolved:— "That this meeting of farmers set up a committee to approach one of the existing freezing companies with a view to erecting supplementary works in the Eangitikei district between Marton and Feiiding, and that the committee confer with Feiiding and Taihape directors." An influential committee of farmers and tradespeople was appointed*.
