RELIABILITY TRIAL AWARDS.
The judge of the Canterbury motor reliability trials, Mr R. English, has worked out the figures <or the leading cars, the F.I.A.T. coming first in the private owners' class and the Hupznobile car being first in the open class. Mr F. W. Johnston, who entered his Panhard for both classes, was successful in taking fourth prize in the private owners' class and second in the open class. The general results are as follow: — PRIVATE OWNERS. First prize, £2O, and gold medal for reliability and driving—Mr R... Kennett, 11-19 h.p. F.1.A.T.; petrol; llgal 2qte; 1000 marks; non-stop run; weight carried, lton 6cwt 251b. Second prize, gold medal—rMr D. V. Grant, 18-57 h.p. Vauxhall; petrol, 13gal 2qrts lpt 12oz; 997 marks; weight carried, 1 ton 15cwt 2Mb. Third prize, silver medal—Mr P? R. Chime, 20-1 h.p. Buick; petrol, I3gal lqrt 240z; 995 marks; weight carried 1 ton -6cwt 19st 231b. Fourth prize, bronze'medal—Mr F. W. Johnston, 14-61 h.p. Panhard; petrol, 13gal lqrt lpt 3oz; 990 marks; weight carried, 1 ton 17cwt 4qrs 21b. OPEN CLASS FOR TRADE. First prize, gold medal—Mr L. M. Montgomery, 18-23 h.p.
