THE CHREVA KADISHA SOCIETY AND JEWISH | BENEVOLENT SOCIETY J I LARGELY-ATTENDED FUNCTION The recently appointed assistant minister of the Auckland Jewish Synagogue, the Rev. J. Adler, and Mrs. Adler, were the guests of honour at an official reception given by the Chreva Kadisha Society, in conjunction with the Jewish Benevolent Society, in the Click Clack Cabaret last evening. Pussy willow and spring flowers attractively decorated tlio lounge, and the ballroom was hung with blue and gold streamers. The Click Clack Internationals provided a splendid programme of dance music. On arrival, Mr. and Airs. Adler were received by Mrs. Alfred Nathan, Airs. G. Pezaro, Airs. David Nathan. and Mrs. L. Alarks, and beautiful floral bouquets were presented to Mrs. Adler Mrs. Alfred Nathan, and Airs. L. Alarks by Aliss Stella Alarks, Miss Beryl Green, and Aliss Fay Reynolds A hearty welcome was extended by Air. Alfred Nathan and the Rev. S. A. Goldstein. Airs.
