LEAVING FOR TURKEY
Reed. Noon. RUGBY, Wednesday. Cai>tain F. J. Matthews, who yesterday left Croydon on a solo flight to Australia, flew non-stop to Belgrade at an average speed of 115 miles an hour. He is continuing his flghl;, via Stamboul and Aleppo. A late message from Sofia says: Captain Matthews has not yet arrived. It is reported that he landed at Belgrade last night, and proposed going to Aleppo in the morning, but no definite confirmation of his arrival or departure from Belgrade has been received.
