NOT FIT FOR TAKAPUNA Language used in Parliament is not always fit for the Takapuna Borough Council. At a meeting last evening, Mr. J. Guiniven wrote suggesting a new method of calling tenders, ending with a plea for system “in this sleepy old council here.” “I consider those words should not have been used,” said the Mayor, Mr. J. W. Williamson, calling attention to a section of the standing orders forbidding the use of any offensive term by a councillor in reference to any other member.
