“SO THIS IS LONDON” Anything that is going to happen is sure to occur, said some one some time ago, and long waiting on the part of admirers of Will Rogers, who greatly enjoyed his first starring picture for the audible screen. “They Had To See Paris,” are attending the Civic Theatre to enjoy an ever more entertaining and hilarious picture. “So This Is London,” Rogers’s second starring picture for Fox Movietone. Based on the stage play which George NT. Cohan successfully produced, and skilfullv directed by John G. Blystone, the picture tells the story of a real native of Texas, who is a wealthy cotton mill owner. He has an inborn hatred for some foreigners, mostly because they arc not Americans. For the protection of his business he is compelled to go to England to negotiate the purchase of a cotton mill at Brimsliot and much against his will lie goes, taking his wife and son with him. Irene Rich plays the wife of Rogers and Frank Albertson, his son. Lurnsden Hare and Mary Forbes play the roles of the titled English parents of the girl who is Maureen O’Sullivan. A capital supporting programme of stt*> rter talkie items is also being presented. '
