* ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME The Amateur Operatic Society’s Hall in Grafton Road was the scene of much hilarity on Saturday even - ing, when the Athenian Club held a ‘‘Back to Childhood” revel. Mr. Percy Dawes was host and the evening was a particularly successful one. A rocking-horse, pram, and cradle gave a realistic touch to the stage, which was appropriately decorated as a nursery. Guests were given Quaint novelties of bonnets, pinafores, and schoolbags, and everyone entered into the spirit of the evening. An enjoyable programme was presented between dances, and included items by Misses Pringle and Aloore, duets; Aliss Nina Scott, humorous items; Aliss Bennetto, songs; and Air. Eltham Black, songs. AAIONG THOSE PRESENT ATrs. Gilbert Boyle, wore a frock of cherry georgette. Mrs. T.vsoe was frocked in midnight blue georgette and silver lace. Mrs. Middleton had on a frock of shrimp pink lace.
