TAHITI’S MAILS
ARRIVAL IN LONDON ON SCHEDULED DAY SPEEDY TRIP MADE Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. The Post, Office notifies the receipt of the following cable: —- “The mails, which left Wellington on August 12 by the Tahiti, via San Francisco, and which owing to the foundering of the Tahiti were transferred to the Ventura, arrived in London on September 11." This was the date the mails were scheduled to arrive had nothing happened. Apparently a quick trip was made by the Ventura and a speedy transit across the States.
