MINOR ACCIDENTS
PILLION RIDER’S FALL A fall from a motor-cycle on which j shy was pillion riding caused serious i head injuries to Aliss Jessie Baverstock, j aged about 24, of East Tamaki, wbije sho was returning to her home shortly : after 11 o’clock last evening. She was ! admitted to the Auckland Hospital, where her condition this morning was reported to be satisfactory. A bicycle accident on the Alangere Bridge last evening resulted in the removal of a young man, Air. Theo Cohen, of 33 Armadale Road, Remuera, to tho Auckland Hospital. He was discovered lying unconscious beside his bicycle at 5.20 o’clock, when the tft. John Ambulance was called. He regained consciousness, but remained dazed. His condition this morning I was not serious.
Two accidents occurred yesterday on I ships which were being worked at the wharves. Air. Hugh Maher, of 4 Ruskin Street. Parnell, was unloading bags of plaster from the hold of the Parrakoola when a sling of the bags fell on him. He received severe bruises and shock. While working on the Waimarino, Air. W H. Hewett, aged 37. of Middleton Road, Remuera, struck his head against a beam, and suffered injuries which required the insertion of several stitches. The St. John Ambulance was called in both cases.
