NORTHCOTE EX-SERVICEMEN

SUCCESSFUL DANCE FOR ASSOCIATION’S FUNDS Organised for the purpose of obtaining funds for the recently-formed Northcote Ex-servicemen’s Association, a dance was held in the Palais Theatre, Northcote, on Thursday evening. The stage was attractively decorated with tubs of ferns and bunting. The Merrymakers’ Orchestra provided bright music. During the evening Mr. M. Walsh, junr., vice-patron of the association, briefly addressed those present on the objects of the association and paid a generous tribute to the women’s committee for its efforts, which had been greatly appreciated by ex-servicemen.
