Y.M.C.A. CLUB’S YEAR A sound financial position was re- | vealed by the balance-sheet, presented at the annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Cricket Club last evening. Mr. 11. E. Dow presided. There was a large attendance of members. Congratulations were extended to L. Elliott on his gaining representative honours. The secretary was instructed to write to the Auckland Cricket Association complimenting it on the successful innovation of indoor practice and to express the appreciation of members of the club who had availed themselves of the use of the wicket. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. Ambury; vice-presi-dents, Sir George Fowlds, Sir George Richardson, Messrs. R. 11. Horsley, W. R. Ellingham, R. A. Laidlaw, R. M. Brasted, R. S. Clark and a junior delegate: selectors, Messrs. R. Riddolls, S. Smith, W. L. Elliott and two junior captains to be co-opted; club captain, Mr. A. Riddolls; secretary, Mr. J. H. HARBOUR BOARD CLUB Tho annual meeting of the Auckland Harbour Board Cricket Club was held on Wednesday. Mr. S. Learning presided over a good attendance of members. Tho annual report stated that the two teajns had had a fairly successful year, the A team finishing second on the list, Mr. L. Broese again headed the batting averages for the A’s, while Donning, Martin, Matthews, and Badeley also batted well. Mann, Martin, and Matthews topped the bowling. For the B team, O’Hara topped the batting. with Turbott a good runner-up. Denize and Hayes headed the bowling. A bat, presented by Mr. J. S. Hannigan, for the most improved of the younger players, was awarded to W. Matthews. Tho election of officers was as follows: Patron. Mr. M. H. Wynyard; j vice-patrons, Messrs. H. R. After members had expresesd their views regarding the appointment of an official timekeeper, it was decided to urge the association to appoint such an official. Seven new members were elected, and the prospects for the season are good. The finances of the club have been severely strained, but this year there will not be the same call for largo expenditure on gear. Mr. W. Matthews was appointed club captain, and Messrs. Mann, Martin, and McConnell were appointed delegates to the association. A vote of thanks was passed to the

PARNELL CLL'B'S REPORT A successful past season was enjoyed by the Parnell Cricket Club, according to the report, which will be presented at the annual meeting on Monday. The report states the senior team won the first grade championship, playing 12 matches, winning j nine, while three were drawn. The club was fortunate in having the ser- ; vices of the coach, A. F. Wensley, who was a great acquisition to the side, j particularly in bowling. The season was commenced with a membership of 58, five teams being | entered in the competitions, but the third grade team was compelled to withdraw. Representative honours were gained by A.
