WHEAT DUTIES
CHAMBER ON EXTENSION , A meeting of the council of the council of the Chamber of Commerce this morning confirmed a remit concerning wheat duties, to be sent to the approaching conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. The remit contends that there should bo no extension of existing agreements regarding wheat and flour, and that the duty on Bri ish Empire wheat and flour should be substantially revised <'townward and the sliding scale a polished.
