MAN WHO CLAIMED TO BE MARRIED SEQUEL TO AFFILIATION CASE Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. A statement made by Edward Martin during the hearing of an affiliation orde- case, that he was married in October, the statement being repeated under cross-examination, led to his appearance in court yesterday on a charge of perjury. Sergeant Pender gave evidence of interviewing accused when accused admitted that he was not married, but had been living since October with a woman as man and wife, which he regarded as marriage. Martin pleaded guilty, and was committed for sentence.
