SUBSIDY FOR NORTHCOTE Advico lias been received by the town clerk at Northcote that the Government has approved plans <Jf work submitted, and that a subsidy has been granted on the amount received front the Poppy Day Fund. TXventy pounds was collected, the council’s subsidy and Government subsidy bringing the total to £BO. Work is to be started immediately under the supervision of the borough overseer,' Mr. J. E. Mays, in improvements to the Queen Street Wharf approach. h
