BOXING SENSATION
TROWERN DISQUALIFIED SIX MONTHS’ SUSPENSION Special to TllE sf.v WELLINGTON, Today. Reg. Trowern. the Auckland welterweight boxer who defeated Billy Richards. of Australia, at the Auckland Town Hull on Monday evening has been disqualified for a period of six months dating from July 1. This decision was made by the Council of the New Zealand Boxing Association last evening. Trowern was charged with a breach of contract, committed when he refused to keep -an agreement with the Wellington Boxing Association, regarding a contest in Wellington with Billy Richards. The meeting also decided to uphold the decision of the Hawke’s Bay Boxing Association to withhold Ted Morgan’s share of the purse in his contest with Lou Bloom on April 11. The referee disqualified Morgan for what the official said was a deliberate foul blow.
