ONEHUNGA CLUB At the annual meeting of the Onehunga Tennis Club, the report showed that the club had experienced a satisfactory season. Subsciptions had shown an increase. The courts were in excellent condition, which was largely due to the work of Messrs. Cole and E. A. Robb, and the caretaker. A tribute was paid to the work of the president (Mr. P. Harrison) whose efforts on behalf of the club had been largely responsible for the success of the past season. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. P. Harrison (reelected) ; vice-presidents, Messrs G. M. Flemming, G. L. Taylor, F. J. Ohlson and C. D. Warren; hon. secretary, Mr. A. E. Bockett; hon. treasurer, Mr. K. F. Haydon; committee, Mrs. P. Harrison, Mrs. M. Robb, Misses G. Parr, Watkin, Hasletr, Carnachan, and Messrs. M. Robb, J. T. Harrison. A. Cole, W. E. La Roche. E. A. Robb, and N. Johnston. The president welcomed Mr. J. F. Ohlson, who is now taking an active interest in tennis affairs after a serious illness. Following a short account of his impressions gathered overseas of the methods adopted in the careful training of young players, Mr. Ohlson presented ■ the prizes. REMUERA CLUB In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet at the annual meeting of the Remuera Tennis Club last evening, Mr. E. W. Griffiths, the chairman, drew special attention to the financial position of the club. and pointed out the sound position, as shown by the statement of assets and liabilities He men :ioned briefly the club’s success in the inter-club competition, and congratulated Miss Macfarlane and Messrs. E. L. Bartleet, A. C. Stedman and N. G. Sturt on their successes during the season. The election of officers for the ensu ing season resulted as follows: President, Mr. E. Tonks; immediate past president, Mr. E. W. Griffiths: vice-presidents, Messrs. D. G. Macfarlane and S. Colegrove; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. W. Christmas hon. auditor, Mr. W. H. Burton; committee, women. Mrs. Robson, Misses M. Macfarlane, Brookes, L. Roberton and H. Asser; men, Messrs. J. K. S Hall. N. G Sturt. F. W. Lucas. E. M. D. Ohlson, J. E. Stedman and J. N. Wilson. Mr. R. A. Angus was unanimously elected an honorary life member of the club.
